KIRK System 1500 IP

KIRK System 1500 IP Cisco Brochure

KIRK wireless communication solutions allow enterprises and organisations to obtain full benefit of IP telephony: cost savings and increased productivity - in other words new ways of working.

The KIRK System 1500 IP is a modular wireless vioce communication system. The system is an add-on system that integrates with most existing and future IP-PBX installations. It consists of a Wireless Mobility Server (the central control unit) installed with the appropriate interface card and a number of Base Stations, wireless Repeaters, and wireless handsets.

The system is based on the DECT (Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunicaitons) technology, and complies with the GAP standard.

KIRK System 1500 IP has been tested in accordance with interoperability criteria set by Cisco Systems, Inc. and is compatible with the Cisco CallManager.

The KIRK System 600 IP is tested on voice products from Innovaphone running on the H.323 protocol. KIRK can not guarantee that the system will work on other H.323 enabled voice components.

The KIRK System 1500 IP is flexible in relation to coverage, voice traffic, and number of user.

  • Indoor coverage of a Base Station or wireless repeater: from 50 to 150 m. depending on the building environment
  • Outdoor coverage of a Base Station or wireless Repeater: from 300 to 600 m. depending on reflection from surroundings
  • Voice traffic: from 30 up to 60 voice channels
  • Users: from 1 up to 700

Unique Features of the KIRK System 1500 IP

  • Unique digital voice quality. DECT is a dedicated voice transmission protocol
  • Seamless handover between Base Stations. A call is transfered noiselessly from one Base Station to another without being lost
  • The KIRK System 1500 IP is a transparent system. The system transfers IP-PBX functionalities to the wireless Handset
  • Coverage area can be extended via the use of wireless KIRK Repeaters. A wireless Repeater provides the same coverage area as a Base Station (the traffic capacity remains the same)
  • Roaming between systems: A KIRK Handset can be subscribed to more KIRK systems, and will automatically log on to the revelant system.
  • MSF - text messaging function ("SMS"). MSF makes it possible to use the KIRK Handset for alarm and monitoring purposes as well as sending messages from one handset to another
  • Easy installation and maintenance. The special KIRK Deployment tool allows for on-site deployment
